Canadian College of Healthcare and Pharmaceutics
CCHAP's CPT Clinical Placement Service bridges the gap between certification and clinical practice. Designed exclusively for CPTG-certified phlebotomy technicians, this program places participants within approved Ontario health facilities where they work alongside experienced mentors to apply and refine their clinical skills in real patient-care settings. Spots are limited — each cohort is intentionally kept small to ensure a high-quality mentorship experience and meaningful access to clinical procedures. Prerequisite: Applicants must hold a valid CPT credential issued by the Canadian Phlebotomy Technician Group Inc. (CPTG) prior to enrolment. This placement does not substitute for the CPT program or examination.

Cohort sizes are intentionally limited to maintain placement quality and the integrity of the mentorship experience. Early application is strongly recommended.
Participants are placed at accredited Ontario health facilities across the province. Facility assignment is based on availability and participant profile.
Each participant is paired with a qualified, experienced mentor at the host facility who supervises and evaluates clinical skill performance throughout the duration of the placement. The mentorship model ensures participants receive individualized guidance in a real-world patient-care environment.
The program at the Canadian College of Healthcare and Pharmaceutics is eligible for tax credits under the Canada Skills Credit program. The College also works with financial institutions including Windmill Mircrolending to arrange support for student loans.
