CCHAP’s Certificate in Data Sciences program equips students with essential skills in data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, preparing them for careers in healthcare, social services, business, and technology sectors. Eligibility

Who Should take this Course

A post-secondary student or individual who has completed a Grade 12 education in Canada or abroad can apply to the program. Roles in data science require problem solving skills, computer literacy, and the ability to communicate effectively in one of Canada’s official languages (English or French).

The formal admission criteria are as follows:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent*

OR Mature Student Status (18 years or older) with a minimum score of 18 or higher on the Wonderlic SLE (Scholastic Level Exam)

*All foreign credentials must be translated into English and assessed for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (e.g. WES)


If English is not the first language, then one of the following is required:

IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0 overall, with no band lower than 5.5

TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 80, with minimum scores of 20 in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing

CAEL: Overall score of 60, with no section below 60
