About the Program

This is a short 2-days intensive certification program conducted by highly experience faculty. After the completion of the course you could achieve the following objectives:

History of Pharmacovigilance with basic definitions, aims & objectives of PV

Clear understanding of Adverse Events and Adverse Drug Reactions and its various types, process flow, timelines and clinical management of ADRs

Fair understanding of Risk Management Systems, general idea about regulatory requirements related to pharmacovigilance by US, EU and Canada

The graduates of our program receive support in job search and preparing CVs and applications

Eligibility

Who Should take this Course

The importance of pharmacovigilance (PV) for the safe use of medicine has increasingly been recognized during the last couple of decades. If you are involved in any aspect of drug safety/PV then this course will support you with major regulatory authority’s laws, regulations and guidelines including Health Canada guidance documents. This 2-day program gives you an opportunity for a better understanding of the fundamental principles of pharmacovigilance. This Micro-Credential program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.

This program is ideal for health professionals involved in care & clinical research assistants and associates. It also offers alternative job opportunities for IMGs, healthcare professionals and life sciences.

Funding

The program at the Canadian College of Healthcare and Pharmaceutics is eligible for tax credits under the Canada Skills Credit program. The College also works with financial institutions including Windmill Mircrolending to arrange support for student loans.
