About the Program
The Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography – General (Pending Accreditation) prepares students for entry-to-practice as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
Training takes place on industry-standard ultrasound systems and simulators in small group settings (maximum 10 students). The curriculum provides comprehensive instruction in abdominal, superficial structure, musculoskeletal, and obstetrical/gynaecological sonography. Students build core competencies through intensive campus scanning labs and complete 960 hours of hands-on, supervised clinical practicum across partner healthcare facilities.
Graduates are prepared to challenge the Sonography Canada certification examinations and register with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

Accreditation & Regulatory Notice
When a Career College launches a new program accredited by Accreditation Canada, it undergoes a multi-stage evaluation. This program is currently in Admitted Status, confirming that the formal application has been submitted and evaluation processes are underway.
“Admitted status will expire three years from the date of program acceptance, unless otherwise indicated. Students are advised to monitor the accreditation status of an admitted program to ensure that accredited status has been achieved at the time of their graduation. Students enrolled in an educational program that has not been accredited at the time of graduation may not be eligible for further credentialing / certification / registration as required by their professional and/or regulatory authorities.”
Tuition Protection: Students are entitled to a full refund if the program does not complete accreditation.

Eligibility
Who can take the program
Applicants must meet one of the following academic pathways:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with Grade 12 English (C/U), Grade 12 Mathematics (C/U/M), Grade 12 Biology (C/U), and Grade 12 Physics (C/U) at a minimum final grade of 70% in each subject; OR
Post-Secondary Education: Completed coursework in health or life sciences including Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology; OR
Professional Healthcare Credential: Recognized degree or diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (MRT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine, Advanced Care Paramedicine, Nursing (BScN), Respiratory Therapy, or Registered Massage Therapy (RMT).
Mandatory Entrance & Clinical Clearances:
Aptitude Exam
International Credentials: Formal evaluation report via WES (World Education Services) or ICAS.
Clinical Clearances: Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC), up-to-date immunization and serology records, Standard First Aid & CPR Level HCP/BLS, WHMIS certification, and N95 mask-fit clearance.
