CCHAP’s Certificate in Clinical Research is designed for internationally educated medical graduates (IMGs), internationally educated nurses (IENs), and individuals with an undergraduate degree in health or life sciences who are seeking to upskill for careers in clinical research. This program provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as clinical trial design, research ethics, data management, and regulatory affairs. Students will learn how to support clinical studies by assisting with protocol development, preparing ethics submissions, managing study data, and handling regulatory documentation. Graduates will be prepared to pursue roles in hospitals, academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and contract research organizations.

The formal admission criteria are as follows:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent*
OR Mature Student Status (18 years or older) with a minimum score of 18 or higher on the Wonderlic SLE (Scholastic Level Exam)
*All foreign credentials must be translated into English and assessed for Grade 12 equivalency by a recognized organization (e.g. WES)
If English is not the first language, then one of the following is required:
IELTS: Minimum score of 6.0 overall, with no band lower than 5.5
TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 80, with minimum scores of 20 in Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing
CAEL: Overall score of 60, with no section below 60
